Dress x Toms
First attempt and it turned out rather pretty.Maybe it was my legs, maybe it was the dress or the lighting but it definitely would be better if i had a photographer ;)
Melted in my mouth.
It was just 3 minutes before i intruded it's bath-time.
And the hole got bigger.DUH.
End of story?I was too full for dinner and i think i'm avoiding chocolate for the week because the sight of it is nauseating now.Not really a problem since sunday is just 2 days away.Ha.
Recipe
Serves 20 5cm x 5cm squares
200g chocolate(preferably 55%-70%,i used 55%.)
250g unsalted butter,softened(bonjour?)
150g sugar(adjust to % of chocolate used and own preference.)
3 large eggs w 1 egg yolk,lightly beaten
60g plain flour(think almond meal is fine but it might make the cake denser)
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
Pinch of salt
60g of good quality cocoa powder(preferably dutch-processed)
100g walnuts(I used hazelnuts but it's optional!)
1.Preheat oven 180 degrees/gas 4 and line a 23cm x 23cm base with parchment paper.
2.Set a bowl over a pan of simmering water and add 150g of chocolate, broken into pieces.Allow chocolate to melt, stirring occasionally.
3.Meanwhile,beat sugar and butter till white and fuffy.Incorporate eggs, one at a time, for around 5 minutes at high speed until the batter increased in volume.
4.Break remaining 50g of chocolate into smaller pieces.
5.Sift flour, baking powder and cocoa powder into another large bowl and mix well.
6.Stir in melted chocolate and chocolate chips into the wet ingredients.
7.Next,stir in the dry ingredients and nuts, making sure every single ingredients are incorporated fully .
8.Spoon mixture and bake for 30 minutes.Test with skewer;it should come out sticky not coated with raw mixture else bake for another 3 minutes.
9.When they are ready, place it in cold water bath for at least an hour before removing the and cutting into squares.Store in airtight container. They are even better tomorrow :)
It's obvious how i didn't follow step 9 but i'm sure the water bath method is useful.By plunging them into cold water right after baking allows the brownie to stop cooking-but if that's too difficult you may start cutting 1/8 of the cake and trying them before you leave the rest alone.
Well,i'm going to have some cocoa-infused nightmares and wake up weighing myself 5 pounds heavier.
Nevertheless,TGIF.

Soup spoon's simon and garfunkel.I thought i should asked about the name of the soup the next visit. How does yummy chicken, potatoes and mushroom soup goes with that funky soup name?Just had to take a picture to show that i'm really in love with this soup.
Now for the highlight of the post.
Dark chocolate brownies.
Gorgeously moist, soft and wet in the middle,it was perfect for someone who had her morning with needles,an arrogant sinseh and a muscle-torn leg.Now...forgive me if i left you wet and mad craving for chocolates.
